The Professor incarnation (my favorite). So yes, but that Hulk has slight power differentials than the Hulk we've seen. As well, since I just rewatched TIH the other night, his heart rate needs to crack 200 for him to turn. I don't believe there is any jogging that will accomplish that, most heart rate suggestions for exercise to oxygen consumption rates usually list 200+ as, y'know, the highest possible output.
Off to see this in a few minutes. Can't wait. Damn finals, interfering with my blockbuster-movie-watching.
How exactly would one get exercise-induced heart rate changes "under control?" Your heart beats faster so you can move more blood to your muscles. Because you are using them. That's why physical activity increases heart rate more reliably than does changes in one's emotional state. You can't really change that without depriving your body of the oxygen and nutrients necessary to keep exercising. That's why I also don't understand dp4m's latest point. If the argument is supposed to be that the Hulk has some special sort of super anger that makes his heart rate go inhumanly fast, then how is that different than just saying the main problem is his anger--which is exactly where we started out?
I meant more that he was able to control himself enough that jogging wouldn't trigger the Hulk, not that he controlled the physical effects of jogging itself. Or maybe he was just working himself up by jogging to help him trigger the hulk more easily.
Guys, seriously. It's a character that turns into a giant green monster when he's angry. I understand that, in the time since he was created, people have tried to come up with reasonable explanations for this, but this is a Stan Lee creation we're talking about.
Biofeedback controls heart rate going above 200. Stop biofeedback. Profit. EDIT: Or J-w's posts. Could go either way.
Saw it. Finally. Probably the best pure crowd-pleasing cinematic entertainment since Raiders of the Lost Ark. Which, if you know anything about my feelings about action-adventure movies, is the highest praise I can give. It's funny, it's packed with action, it develops characters with efficiency, and best of all, it manages to make pretty much every scene land as entertainment, and not just function as connective tissue or plot-advancement. Plus it's got just a great collection of scenes, moments, and lines -- it's unbelievable how much Whedon fit into such a basic plot. Just outstanding.
Without adjusting for ticket price inflation, it's set to overtake Star Wars before next week. ... At some point I'm really going to have to see this, huh?
In about two weeks, the Disney people break out the cattle prods and start herding everyone who hasn't already seen it into theaters.
The prods have mouse ears on them, though, so it's kinda cute. EDIT- Disney is distributing Avengers. But Paramount gets their logo on it instead for free as part of the Marvel acquisition deal.
Yeah, Disney owns Marvel and is distributing the movie. That's why I had to sit through trailers for every single Disney movie coming out this year before The Avengers.
Nope. Disney is Avengers. Be expecting Innoventions at Disneyland to be getting a "Stark Expo" overlay within the next year or so. Unfortunately, Universal still owns the licensing rights in Florida....so no Marvel characters at WDW Orlando for the time being. Disney was only able to do the monorail because it was on the line that didn't actually go through any of the parks. Once Universal's license expires, you can expect to see Iron Man and Cap at DHS along the New York Street set. Sony is Spider-Man...which is why they rushed to come out with a reboot so quickly....technically Disney owns Spidey, but Sony still has the licensing rights to him. If they didn't make another movie, the rights revert back to parent company Disney by default.
Brave is the only one attached to the film. Any others would be the theater's doing. The three combos I saw at my theater were DKR teaser/MIB3 teaser/ASM trailer 1/Brave, ASM trailer 2/Prometheus trailer 1/DKR trailer 2/Brave & EX2 trailer/ASM trailer 2/DKR trailer 2/Brave. Makes me wonder what monorail line that is, because they all go through a park (unless they have to actually stop at a park for it to count) from what I recall. The license at Universal may never expire- Universal wants to keep them out of Disney's hands as a competitor, and Disney still makes money off the merchandise being sold (as well as the free advertising for properties they own) without having to invest in any rides.

Universal agreed to that "loop" hole, because the line does not actually go INTO the park itself, it only stops outside the entrance. They can't put it on the other line, because that track actually goes into Epcot. As for future licensing, I am clinging to the belief that Disney's execs and lawyers going to try and hammer out a deal to trade James Cameron's Avatar out for the Marvel theme park rights. 1. Avatar is a hard sell for Disney. They got with Cameron and announced that Avatar was coming to Animal Kingdom....and that simply does not fit, especially since it gave a number of Disney fans the redass because if Avatar does in fact get built, it means there is NO hope for them ever dusting off Beastly Kingdomme for DAK. (Beastly Kingdomme was the fantasy realm originally proposed for DAK...it would include encounters with unicorns, griffins and other mythical beasts, and contain at least one E-ticket roller coaster. It got shut down due to budget issues, and the space was converted into Camp Minnie-Mickey). 2. Disney already has a trading relationship with Universal....that's how they were able to get Oswald the Lucky Rabbit back
I had Brave, Paranorman, Frankenweenie, Spider-Man, Prometheus, and I'd swear something else, because the previews were fricking endless. No TDKR, though.
