Patty, Glad everything came back fine, too!! Spring weather here as well. Boards were down yesterday, so I hung out on Facebook. My sister's not a Star Wars fan (Her boyfriend is, tho, so that's okay) so she didn't recognize my avatar (same pic of Mon Mothma that I use here).
The boards being down forced me to spend time with my fiancee last night Regarding your avatar, did you actually get to meet Caroline Blakiston and get her autograph? If so, that's wicked cool.
Thats good to hear Pattty. I found my cell phone, it was lodged so out of sight, when someone searched my car that night they completely missed it. I had to get down on my hands and knees before I found it. It was lodged between the arm rest and the passenger seat.
That's good that at least you recovered your phone. Where I live, you can paint your vehicle with someone's brains if they try breaking in it.
Falcon, My co-worker's car was stolen, along with her purse and her cell phone, a couple of months ago. The police were not very helpful, so she turned on the GPS tracking device in her cell phone and found her car. The police recovered the car several hours after she called them. The idiot who stole her car didn't realize he could be tracked while using the cell phone.
I find the police are not as helpful as they used to be. It's sad really. My cat treats me as a ledge to sit on so he can star out the window while I'm sititng on the couch.
My cat used to treat me as a ledge while I was on my computer. She would perch on my shoulder like a vulture. Since she only weighed 8 pounds, I didn't realize my shoulder would hurt after 3 or 4 hours!
Man, I hope somebody is still on-line. It's after 5 on Friday and I'm still at work because I had to close the register and put everything in the safe, which I usually don't do. Next bus is at 6 p.m., so I can't leave the office until 5:45!
My best time to be on the boards is from the time I get off work until about midnight Eastern time. I think you all will appreciate this one: we had Field Day today at the school where I work, and I helped run a station where the kids could just chill for a few minutes between games, eat a popsicle and listen to music. Some of them would start dancing to it, and my co-worker who ran the sound system threw on some old-school Michael Jackson. Beat It, Billie Jean, and PYT. I enjoyed telling the kids that I remembered ole' Michael when he was handsome.
1983 with the sparkly glove. The first compact disc I ever saw was Thriller. It was introduced at school and all the girls in my class squealed when the demonstrator pulled it out of a bag.
Oooh, geeez, I remember when Michael Jackson was CUTE. You know, that adorable little ten-year old in bell-bottom pants with all his older brothers as back-up singers? Those were the days.
Hmm, no wonder I miss people. I'm online at the wrong times. Spent all day Sunday recuperating from food poisoning. Had some fresh spinach salad with my dinner Saturday night and got sick within half an hour. Took 6 doses of pepto, but then my roommate came home and went to the store and got me some Imodium. One dose, problem solved. Was up all night Saturday night and had to miss a memorial service for a friend 'cause I was too sick to go.
