I don't think there's one here yet, so I made one... Anyway... Long time no real news, but this German site has a bunch of pics of set construction - could it possibly be Dale??? http://www.herr-der-ringe-film.de/v3/de/news/tolkienfilme/news_85056.php
That's not a look I've ever really associated with Dale, or seen associated with it, but I can't think of any better possibilities at the moment.
Yeah, well, it doesn't fit with any other known location - it's clearly human architecture, but it's not Bree (if that indeed appears in the films), and it can't be Laketown, since it's in a foresty environment... Dale seems the only logical option.
Yeah, it's Dale. It doesn't really fit my associations with the location either, looking so... Mediterranean? I would be expecting something different so far North and so close to Erebor.
Yeah, I am pretty sure it will be modified in some ways, but I don't know if it will have enough of a nordic-middle-ages-ish vibe that I am expecting.
Well, the Nordic/Anglo-Saxon design was pretty much used for Rohan, right? They need something distinctly different for Dale...
Mar, as the Rohirrim migrated from the north, I think that some similarities in architecture would not be out of place here
Hi res official Hobbit LEGO photos. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59315&st=3300&p=1240577&#entry1240577
I'll be interested to see how they make Erebor, because we've barely seen Dwarven architecture (in Moria all we saw was one of the halls). And I wonder if they'll show Dol Guldur and the battle that occurs there, which I think is of paramount importance.
I'm going to be spending the next 3 weekends at Legoland for Star Wars Weekends, so we'll see if I can get any more info on the LotR Legos.
