Basically, the lads and I are going to dress up when we go see The Avengers next month. Since I have the hair for it, I was voted to go as Thor. Only problem is I'm stingy when it comes to money(to the point of making sure that people keep the receipts when they buy me birthday presents) so I need to make the chest-plate, wrist-gauntlets, and belt. Any ideas?
Okay, so at risk of double posting, I found this. It looks like something I could do, but the intricacy of the designs might not go too good. Another possibility is cardboard. I actually once made two accurate shields based on the coat of arms of Gawaine and Lancelot that held up pretty well...until we started hitting them with swords. But anyway, which option d'you guys think is better, or are there any other ideas?
Yeah, I am considering that. However, since we're seeing the film earlier then planned, I'm just gonna go as Thor with his 'Earth' look. I am still gonna work on this, though, because it's too awesome not to want to do. Cheers.
