Since 2004, I have tried several times to write a fic. It failed every time, as I had too ambitious goals. With the new boards, it's time to actually get it done. I have a realist project about a (short) fic novel, whose outline have been written. Can I ask about my concept here ?
These actually aren't the new boards, these are just temporary until we get the new ones all loaded and set up. With that in mind, you may want to wait until the new boards are posted and see if you can find a beta to help you with concept. We don't really allow concept threads or threads discussing specific fics in resource (where this thread would be on the actual boards). A beta and/or a fanfic master would be someone that could help you with anything related to your fic.
On the other hand, if you were simply asking for information (e.g., Tarkin's first name, the kind of trials a padawan must pass to become a Jedi knight, the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow) it would be okay. - lazy
You might get help if you ask around in the social thread where the fanficcers hang out. I've already talked about a few ideas there. I think it would be fine to talk about your concept there. And a story you post here would not be transferred to the new board. So you might want to wait with posting it, just like mavjade said.
Hmm, I will take the offerr of Lazy. Sorry, Mistress Jade if this off topic. Well, the concept is rather basic : it would be something to tie in with TOR settings, on Hapes. Base concept : the overthrow of the Lorrel Raiders. The idea is to explain why the Hapan matriarchy was created. (The challenge is to depict the Lorrel Raiders as a bunch of tyrants who basically ''breed'' females like cattle (1), and to get them like Drakka, and not a cheap knock-off of Gor. IE, the core idea is to avoid like plague ridicule, which means placing the Raiders as villains, but REALIST villains) (1)Well, it's the only explanation about the comment that ''the Lorrel kidnapped beautiful women, that's why Hapan females are so gorgeous'' in Courtship. That, or biology don't work in the GFFA.
