PT What If Anakin had accepted Padme's offer in ROTS?

well I just don't see him totally letting him get off scot free after killing cowering children in a corner, but hey I'm not Obi-wan so it's speculation

I don't either, but forgiveness and punishment aren't mutually exclusive.

I was recently considering what if obi wan had been killed by dooku on the invisible hand?
would palpatine have turned anakin then?
no obi wan - no mustafar?

Anakin was too far gone at that point. If he did take Padme's offer he would have eventually killed her, or she would have run away to escape him

He couldn't bring himself to kill Vader anyways, so what difference does it make.
Obi-wan was instructed to take out Vader because of the Sith threat he presented not necessarily because of his actions. He was too dangerous to be kept alive as a Sith.
However, if Obi-wan saw that Anakin would leave his Sith ways behind and leave in a secluded planet with Padme I don't see him still trying to murder him after that.

Ohhhhh.....duhhh. i thought we were talking about her offer earlier in the movie, when she says they were on the wrong side.

i guess if anakin took her offer then nothing would change. anakin would have still freaked out upon seeing obiwan on the ship most likely and they would have fought and obiwan would put the boy in his place.

I would speculate that if Anakin truly accepted Padme's offer and returned to good 23 years early, Obi-Wan would likely have been able to convince him to go after Palpatine with him. And they'd die trying. Maybe they'd take Palpatine with them, but by that point, the emperor probably had too much protection for even his apprentice to get another Jedi near him for the kill.

But to answer my own question, right then and there I think Obi-Wan would have proposed the idea to redeem himself. Where they go from there is the realm of fan fiction. Or maybe a prequel Infinities if they ever decide to do that treatment like they did with the OT.

What do you mean...Yoda walked into Palpatines office. Why would Anakin and Obi-wan have a problem doing so?

Oh crap that would have been another story: Imagine if Anakin and Obi-wan go out to destroy the Empire. But Anakin dies and Obi-wan barely escapes. Now your presented with a very similar story to that of the original trilogy. Except Anakin really was a good Jedi that was killed by the Sith. Obi-wan would once again go into hiding and possibly wait to train the twins. In this timeline Obi-wan probably wouldn't change his name and wouldn't get killed (since Vader was dead). He trains the twins and they both become the hopes of the galaxy, instead of just one.

However, let's not forget that Anakin Skywalker had the most potential than anyone ever. So if he continued getting stronger in a few years he may have been strong enough (together with Obi-wan) to pierce the Empire defenses and destroy Palpatine (sort of like TFU).

Or thidly, if Anakin and Obi-wan go fight the Empire and win, Anakin might have made himself the Emperor.

I would think Palpatine might up security after a Jedi just tried to kill him. Especially if he realized his apprentice was no longer his apprentice.

If Anakin reached the height of his powers and went after him I don't thing there could be anything to stop Palpatine from becoming dead.

I personally believe that Padme had Anakin and that Obi-Wan ruined it.

Guilt might have gotten Anakin after awhile so they might not have hidden forever.

They don't have a chance, come on, all Palpatine got to do is use the people of Naboo to threat Padme and she would have to come out, not to say he could sense Anakin's power.

I doubt Padme would come out. She would have given up everything if she would have fled with Anakin. Let's remember that Padme was able to put behind her the fact that Anakin had slaughtered kids and the Jedi to go off and live peacefully with him and their kids. I don't think Padme would give that up so easily just because Naboo is threatened. She isn't the Queen or it's representative anymore so what can she do?

Not if Palpatine threat to kill everyone on her planet? That's a lot different from kill some Jedi kids.

Her parents were also on Naboo and Palpatine knew them very well.

They were going to be isolated from civilization, in a remote planet sort of like Yoda on Dagobah. How would she even hear about the threat?
