We've all been there... at least those of us who have joined the workforce.

What's the worse thing that's happened to you in an intererview?

Last interview I did, everything was fine and great until I got back to the car and realised that a bloody great ZIT had formed on the TOP of my NOSE DURING the interview...

The lady giving me the interview thought I was dating her daughter. That interview didn't go to well.

My worst interview was a few years ago. I went to the interview on my bike, which was fine. I got there, had the interview, and left. On the way home, I bumped into some friends. My friends noticed a funny smell, and it turns out I had ridden through some poop on the way to the interview. Suffice to say I didn't get the job.

I had an interview about a year and a half ago for a position I really wanted. When the guy called to tell me why I was turned down, he said I didn't 'assert' myself during the interview. The thing is, is that he literally wouldn't let my get a word in edgewise during the entire interview. Was he expecting me to interrupt him or something? I've still never figured it out.

I had an interview a little over a month ago with a small accounting firm. I don't have any sort of accounting background or anything, but it was for an entry-level job, and I figured that if I needed experience or a background, they wouldn't have called me in for an interview. Haha! I was wrong. I interviewed with one of the partners because they didn't have any sort of HR department or anything like that. He started off by going over my resume and when he realized I didn't have the background necessary, he said "I guess I should have read over your resume more carefully." And then he decided that he was going to start giving me career advice when it became apparent that the interview wasn't going anywhere.

That was fun.

Amazing.

Last year the lady asked me the wrong things, because she thought that I was there for another job and not the one I was asking. I was confuse, so the interview went bad.

Sorry about that DarthBreezy.

I was applying for an assistant manager position in a hotel and teh woman interviewing me asked why I left my old job. I gave her teh reasons and she proceeded to give me a lecture about being a team player and sucking up during a crappy situation.

I told her off and walked out.

Didn't get that job.

The great thing about interviews is that they work both ways. Not only are they sizing you up, but you're sizing them up as well. In an interview it doesn't take long for you to decide if you even want to work there. I've walked out of interviews because the interviewers were jerks.

I had an interview about a year and a half ago. It went well, and I thought that I had the job. When I went to get into my car, I noticed that I had locked my keys inside, and my wife had the spare key with her at work. I had to go back inside and ask if they had a coat hanger or a slim jim to jimmy the lock. They sent me to the security office, and I was then told that they don't have any of that stuff. I had to call a friend to pick me up and take me to my wifes office so I could get the spare key. I didn't get the job.

As for having the actual interview go bad, it's never happened, at least, not that I know of. But I did throw an interview on purpose once. That was alot of fun, too.

I was in an enterview once, and we were talking about some of the jobs I've had in the past, and we got on the subject of how I used to be an on-air radio personality. He said, "So, did you get a lot of [insert slang for vagina here] in that job?"

Interview. Over.

One time I was interviewing for a job and the interviewer made a snide remark. I told him I was going to disembowl him when he got home. Didn't get the job. Biggest load ever.

I once had a bad case of the flu during a job interview. I was hired right away so the woman who interviewed me showed me around the office and introduced me to everyone else there. Nice, but I had a raging fever and felt like I was going to throw up at any second.

Blah.

A good tip: Always wear something red during a job interview. It works for me every time. wink

One time I wrote the address wrong-got the number right but not the street name- and got lost. I called in telling them I was going to be late. They still interviewed me, but the next day they called me, telling me I didn't get the job but they had a lower position ($3/hr less). I didn't accept that.

I don't know why I didnt get another job. I was went for an interview with Animal Control for the county. Everything was going well. The only thing I could think of that I did wierd was tell the story of the snake in our Christmas tree. Then again, maybe they had someone with experience they were going to hire.
