His sister was quoted as saying he was going to stay two days ago, too.
If his family has any idea what he is up to, then this is good news for both Utd and the PL.
And yes, Mr M, Arsene is going to go buy some goals if Manu goes. With the heavy speculation leaning towards Santa Cruz or Martins. We shall see.
From one POV, I would certainly miss having Adebayor in the team, as he brings so much strength up front, as well as his pace and goals - he's fantastic at holding up the ball for us. On the other hand, I've never been very convinced that both he and Theo make a great strike-force pairing (although they have conbined well when Walcott has been out on the wing), and so if he goes, I think we will finally get to have a look at Theo up front, and that is no bad thing in my books.

Arsene should have been a stock broker or hedge fund trader or something. he would have made a lot more money.

lol.
It should come as no surprise to you that his degree is in economics.
On the replacement of Flamini front, it seems as though Arsene will be playing Diaby there next season, with no recruits being purchased as a replacement. Personally, I am very happy with this, as Diaby is wasted when playing out on the left, and when I have seen him play in the middle, he has been superb and very Vieira-like. It's his natural position, but he just never got much of look-in there as Cesc, Gilberto and Flamini were all in front of him.

If Liverlol can sell CrouchLOL to Pompey for 9m, as now seems likely, then then the quoted price for Barry will be met anon.

I kind of think this summer might have just been to set up a move next summer.
I read that Wenger would happily take the 30 million for Adebayor considering his goals dried up towards the end of the season.
EDIT: is it legal to put in a contract that the player can't cut his hair?

Rangers are being linked with Shittu of walford. I hope it goes through if only to see this line up in defense

You should get that seen to.
And Ferguson has also admitted that we're only looking to bring in one more player, which looks to be a forward i.e. Berbatov. He seems pretty happy with Brown keeping the right back position, with Neville maybe competing when fit. Doesn't surprise me, with Alves and Boswinga being snapped up by Barca and Chelsea repectively, all the world-class right backs have been snapped up. He seems to have forgotten about Hibbert.

Lahm was who i wanted but it seems he's content at Bayern for the moment. no need to waste money on a right back with who we have at the moment. as i said earlier, we have the time to sit and wait for someone elite to become available. Brown and Neville is more than fine for now.
one forward is indeed all we need. someone at the United boards said that the Berbatov deal was wrapped up last night for 25m, but he's no doubt talking bollocks. i'm sure it's still on the cards though. i would be happy with either he or Huntelaar, but preferably Berbatov.

To be honest, my opinion of Lahm has gone down after Euro 2008. He really wasn't that impressive and that's not good when it was a very average German side.
