	There was a topic called •Fat people + tight clothing = ewwww• but it got locked because people were just taking jabs at obese people. That was wrong. I'm not overweight in any way, actually I'm 3 pounds underweight(just weighed myself ) but some of my friends are overweight. Now, I'm not standing up for some of them, just the other some of them. I absolutely hate when people wear tight clothes when they are overweight, but some people have problems that don't allow them to lose weight. My aunt had a surgery that removed her something-or-other gland and now she will be overweight the rest of her life and there's nothing she can do. Now, this being a Star Wars message board and all, I know a lot of people out there are overweight. The last board got out of hand but maybe we could take that bad experience and turn it into something helpful. If there is anybody with weight-losing tips just put them here. I got a point to make,though. All these scientists are wondering why there is such an obesity problem in America today? Um, maybe it's because you can go to McDonald's and get a quarter pounder for 99cents but a salad is like $3.50? Or, if you go to Tops, potato chips, HoHo's, etc. are also 99cents or 2 for $1? But a bag of veggie chips, etc. are $4? It's not right! Gah! -----signature----- I never get spaceship! Neva neva!

	The prices are due to supply/demand. If there was a higher demand for those salads at McDonalds the cost/unit would be less and they could lower their prices. More people want their fatburgers. 	No, seriously. She's been a diabetic since she was real little and the only thing she eats is, like, salads. But I see what you mean about the concentration camps. And about the 1/4 pounder. It might be more of a ...hm...need a word for it...motivator if prices were lower. Not for everyone, but for some people. I mean, would you seriously pay more to be fat? 	But since the prices are lower for "fat-burgers" more people buy them, increasing the demand for them. I mean, when I go to McDonald's I do usually buy off the dollar menu because I'm broke. And what I don't get is how that one dude tried suing McDonald's for his gaining weight from eating their fries everyday. Isn't that freedom of choice? And I don't mind jolly fat people, as I said, I have some friends who are overweight. But, most people who are fat are not jolly, as the stereotype is. -----signature----- I never get spaceship! 	The problem is a lot of people who are obese order 3 or 4 burgers, fries and a sundae off the dollar menu instead of 1 cheeseburger small fries and a water. its not really the restaurants menus its how much people order off of them. 	At my high school you can buy a salad and a sandwich with lunchmeat, cheese, and lettuce on it with a carton of milk and an apple for $1.50. But there are also vending machines in the room next to the cafeteria. Most kids buy from the machines and pay, like, $4 for a bag of chips, and three sweet-things. 	Ever see a fat vegetarian? There are two vegetarians in my office that are overweight! Both have beer bellies! I think it's because they eat a lot of carbs and a lot of fried stuff. What makes me sad/mad is when I see overweight kids. 5-7 year olds that weight more than I do, and have to wear XL shirts that hang all the way to their ankles. Yet their parents still feed them McDonalds, and give them sodas to drink. But, what can I say, I'm not a parent. -----signature----- ...the fastest ever. 	I know what you mean. I'm on a local swim team and all the time these little kids, 5-7 years old are joining and they weigh more than I do. Their parents expect swimming will help them lose weight but they only come once a week, when I ask them why they say "Cuz I don't wanna come. Mommy said I didn't have to." And then they go and eat pizza and and McDonalds every other night. Then they quit a few weeks later because "Swim wasn't helping them lose weight." GAH -----signature----- I never get spaceship!
