Is this a good application?
I am making an application for a job as an editor for a website, this is what I have so far.
before you read it I know its not true, im just trying to get the job.
Dear {blank},
I am inquiring about the co-editing position
mentioned on your website. I am interested in becoming
part of your editing staff, and feel that I am perfect
for the job. I am a Howard University graduate, and
have a degree in philosophy. I am a very dedicated and
skilled worker, and if you decide to hire me I will
put forth the most effort possible to make sure I do
an excellent job. Some of my previous jobs include
being an administrator at my local library and being
programmer for a web firm. I am a master of almost all
programming languages including Java-script, HTML and
many others. I have viewed all of the real world/road
rules challenges to date and have a thorough
understanding of the plot and the conflict between the
cast within the show. I am perfect for the job.
if you would like to hire me or know more about me
you can call me at {cant let any girls here see this}
or simply email me back.
sincerely
Steven Austin
any suggestions?, and if you knew nothing about me than whats above would you hire me?

As long as you don't show them that you don't spell very well, they should believe it... until they ask for your references.

Don't ever consider coaching Notre Dame in the future.
(Will anyone get that reference?)

Comet, why don't you just tell them the truth about yourself. Who wouldn't want to hire a 14 year old who claims to have sex with a girl whose pic he got off of the internet, makes up stories about hunting deer with a bb gun and all your other wacky adventures here on the JCC?

You need a resume and proof of credentials before they'll consider you. A snazzy email won't do a thing. Especially one that's ridden with lies.

I wouldn't hire you because any web-based editor will know that html isn't a programming language.

Lying is not a good thing.
In this instance it is.
No.
Care to point out why?
So, you lie about stuff and try to sound sophisticated. Great idea.
1. I
am
sophisticated.
2. I know its a great idea.
LMAO, your a graduate from Howard University and you wrote that. Not one person would believe that. It remided me of the black guy selling magazines in office Space.
he doesnt know anything about me (race, age, gender).
Road Rules fan, eh?
Yes.
Thats the stupidest application I ever read, probably they will read it and then track you down and beat you up because it is so stupid and lame.
Thanks for your input.

1. For some reason if he knew the truth about me I dont think he would hire me.
2. I am 15 now.
3. That picture IS my girlfriend and not a pic that I "got off the internet".
4. My stories are never a lie unless I state them as a lie.
