My wife and I are expecting twins. We've started looking at all the baby stuff we have to buy, but we can't decide what we want to do about the stroller.

Right now we're thinking tandem because you can use the car seats with them. But is the convenience for just the first few months worth being the deciding factor?

I know there are several parents on this board, but have any of you had to get a double stroller? If so, I'd like to know your choice and why. They're just so expensive, I'd hate to get one and then regret it.

Sweetie, I would think with twins, convenience IS the deciding factor. wink

I dunno, I think the tandem would be better because it wouldn't take up as much space as a "double-wide". Plus with using the carseats it would be great and most models have the option of not using the carseat when they get old enough to sit by themselves so you're really getting a two in one option.

My son is 4 months and we're still using the carseat in the stroller so you'll be using it for a bit. Plus the fact that with two of them you'll want to make your lives as easy as possible.

Go to babiesrus.com and check out the double strollers. There are some good reviews on the Duoglider Travel system from moms of twins. It's $250 but it does have the car seat option.

Congratulations and good luck!

Igor, would you give me a hand with the bags?
Certainly, you take the blonde and I'll take the one in the turban.

Tandem, then they can pretend to be jet fighters. grin

I'd assume they're also easier to get through doors and other such openings than the side-by-side type.

oh how the mighty have fallen.........

One moment you are dealing with crying children who need constant attention, and you can't let them out of your sight because they'll cause trouble..............and the next minute you have Baby-Josh.

The downside to tandem would be, the one child can make fun of the other if they learn who usually got the front seat tongue

except if you switch around every so often ... but where's the fun in that? devil

Thanks for the advice!

I did see a tandem that you can turn around the front seat so they can face each other.

Tandem, then they can pretend to be jet fighters.

moosemousse - I think you sold me with that. wink I work in the fighter industry and love jets, so I could have (too much) fun with that, too!
