	Here is another story from foxnews.com. Nevada Schools on Lockdown as Police Search for Teen With Gun Monday, October 02, 2006 NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — A southern Nevada high school and a nearby elementary school were locked down Monday while police searched for a teenager who they said brought a gun to campus, authorities said. No students were hurt and police said there was no initial indication the teen, who they said was not a student and was not allowed on campus, threatened anyone with the weapon, said Sean Walker, a North Las Vegas police spokesman. The teen ran from the Mojave High School when he was confronted by campus police as students arrived for school, Walker said. A .25 caliber handgun was found behind a church not far from and the high school and Elizondo Elementary School, Walker said. There was still bullying, and schools participated in "capital" punishment (i.e. paddling), there was even gang violence in some, but the reports of school shootings and hostage situations have skyrocketed here lately. I blame the hippies mind-set where parents pump their kids full of mood-altering drugs if they have a bad day or act out of line instead of trying to find out the source of the problem. Hell, if your kid is acting up, forget Ritalin. Just use good old American leather.

	Too many people try to use any method other than the world of hard knocks approach to everything. People want their kids to believe that life is like Candy Land...all full of goodness and happiness. They are not taught (like we were in general) that life is hard, and you WILL get knocked around.
