After Dunblane it's just knives over here. We've not graduated back to guns as yet. The guy that did this was obviously mentally deranged.

AS per the previous discussion on children with problems, I was at a conference recently regarding learning difficulties etc, and the guy who was running it said that just about everyone has some kind of learning difficulty be it mild or severe. He went through loads of tests and it was quite interesting. Bad parenting has, however been glossed over, only being chucked (as ever) towards the single mothers. Quite frankly, just about every unruly child I have ever taught has two parents who were masquerading as imbeciles. If little Johnny did something wrong, it was put down to their 'problems' and never punished. I'm not saying get the belt out, but at least tell the kids why they did something wrong and what made it wrong.

Schools are pretty unruly places at the best of times. Adding guns to the mix is just astonishingly bad.
