Well the quality of the camera depends entirely on the budget and what you intend to do with it. If you simply want a cheap miniDV camera places like Best Buy are fine, but if you are seriously looking into making a more informed choice and buying something of quality its worth doing your homework. But again it depends on what you are willing to spend and what you intend to do with it.
