"It's just me," lexu said, wading through the sewer waters with careful trepidation. "I wasn't followed." Dork nodded and produced a handgun from under her skirt, tossing it to her comrade. Ender raised an eyebrow, but Dork didn't acknowledge it, instead motioning for the two of them to follow her.
lexu caught up to Ender, before matching his stride. "Ender," she started hesitantly, "do you want to talk about -"
"No." Ender lengthened his stride to outpace her. lexu withered silently. Fine. If that's how it's gonna be...

"Quiet, you two," Dork barked. They were nearest a turn, but lexu didn't sense anything out of the ordinary until Dork flinched. She crouched slightly as they heard approaching footsteps. Dork reached for what looked to be a sidearm and lexu stepped out of the water onto the narrow side of the sewer, motioning for Ender to follow. An attacker emerged from around the corner as Dork leveled her weapon at him. "Whoa, don't tase me bro!" he exclaimed - but it was too late. Dork fired, leaping onto the side of the sewers. The attacker leapt into the water, and the shot missed - but the electric shock didn't.
Dork looked back at the two followers. "We don't have time. Move."

MEANWHILE...
"Damnit, I want him found!", Philip Wise barked as he slammed his fist down upon the cheeto dust-encrusted desk in Ender's study. An orange cloud was sent billowing into the stuffy air of the dark chamber, causing several of Wise's inferiors to cough loudly. Only one failed to so much as bat an eye. The others were unfamiliar with this new, mustachioed hired-gun known only as "tom", but everything about him said "ruthless killer".
"Not to worry, Generalissimo Wise, I think you will find there are more than a couple surprises in store for our Australian friend," tom smirked evilly. Sobering, he continued, "On that note, I'd like to deploy my personal unit to the field now," after a tense pause, adding, "with your permission... of course."
"Happy hunting," Wise muttered and flicked his wrist in effeminate dismissal.
"Excellent," tom said as he spun on his heel to leave. "Commence Battle Plan Tucker Bag," he commanded, speaking into his slick black Razor phone.
Inside the house, Wise dismissed his guards from Ender's study and produced a small, metallic sphere from his cargo-shorts. He took care to wipe the cheeto dust from his wife-beater and adjust the cap that covered his embarrassing baldness before activating the ball. The ball hummed to life and projected a blue cone of light into the air.
Within the cone of light emerged the image of a dainty-looking South Asian male in luxurious, flowing robes. He wore a crown of laurels like some God-Emperor of old. The man-God in the hologram seemed unconcerned at Wise's unscheduled call, unconcernedly offering only a single word of acknowledgment before turning to have a grape pressed to his full lips by a lovely young slave girl.
"Speak"
"My Emperor," Philip Wise began reverently...

"My Lord," Phil said with bow, "He has escaped. And we suspect that he may have assistance."
"1/5 mics!!!" Emperor Suzuki screamed. "If word of our plot gets out..."
"I know, I know," Phil said. He really didn't want to hear about how screwed they'd be if Ender wasn't killed. Information would reach the public...information that could overthrow Emperor Suzuki. And we wouldn't want that, Phil thought to himself sarcastically.
"Find him, Philip, or it's your ass," Suzuki said as the hologram vanished. Phil let out a long sigh.
"You heard the man. Let's go!"
Edited because Lexu had a much better idea. What was I thinking?
