Oh, the "gate" on this thread, I thought it refered to the enemy's gate being down, much cooler than some sort of endergate consipracy.

Ender_Sai walked down the cold, dark alley, making his way as quietly as he could. He knew he would have to leave JCCity discretely, lest his pursuers discover him. But as he walked towards the final gate, he saw a shadow standing between him and freedom. There stood Kimball_Kinnison.
"You're not leaving." Kimball said matter-of-factly.
"Says who?" Ender taunted.
Kimball drew out his sword, a sword made of a new synthetic material, but had a razor-sharp edge. It had a faint silver glow.
Ender reached for his own sword, but nothing was there. He must have dropped it far back in the alley. But then why didn't he hear it fall. This was not looking good.
Kimball made no noise, but he sprang in the air, sword ready to strike. The fight had begun.

I said there was more to come:
Kimball's sword nearly hit Ender, but Ender managed to dodge the blow. This battle was going to be over really quickly if he couldn't find a weapon. Kimball made another swing, but Ender dodged it again. Now that he was no longer a mod, Ender didn't have his powers. This was going to make the fight difficult. Ender had been so used to defeating enemies with his powers that now he didn't have the skills to beat Kimball. But right now he needed a weapon.
"I'm not letting you leave JC City." Kimball stated flatly.
"And why not?" Ender spat.
Kimball smiled. "I need test subjects," he explained. "Mods make the best test subjects. However, getting one is rather difficult. So we have to settle for former mods."
"We?" Ender asked?
Kimball smiled and readied his weapon.
Ender turned around and ran back into the alley. He needed his blade and fast. But this turn of events was intriguing. Test subjects? Why him? Who else was with Kimball? Perhaps if such a plot is happening, he shouldn't leave JC City. He continued to run into the darkness, not knowing whether Kimball was tracking him or not.
