I went to see it with some friends, and we were among the very few left in the theater after having toughed it out all the way to the bitter end. People started walking out of the film at the beginning, and the rest save a few were gone halfway through the film. Absolutely awful story and completely boring. It was torturous sitting through it.
I loathe this film more than any other that I can ever remember seeing.
You sir have shocking taste. Best British film since Trainspotting.
Napoleon Dynamite for me. Absolutely terrible film.

and I agree with 28 Days Later
Blair Witch 2 made me super-angry, but that might have been because I (and a friend) knew it would suck to the extreme, but everyone else made us see it.
I usually list The Devil's Advocate, too. Keanu Reaves and "it was all a dream"? It's almost like they made it specifically to spite me.

I think I've told this story about 5 times here, but what the hey.
After many years, my most hated movie remains "The Phantom." That's the movie I tried to go to sleep during, but couldn't, because it was too loud. I think I took some Benedryl, but it didn't help.
"The Phantom" was an obvious attempt to make a fun bad movie, only apparently no one involved had the slightest clue about what makes fun bad movies fun. Everybody from the writers to the sound guy seemed to be working in their sleep. The condescension for the audience just poured off the screen in nauseating waves. I do remember shots of some attractive-looking trees, so I guess at least their location scout was on the ball.
That's really all I can say for it.
When I discovered I couldn't fall asleep and escape this movie, I got up and left the theater, and walked over to Taco Bell. I couldn't just go home, since I wasn't the one that drove there. I had lunch at Taco Bell and came back. The damn movie was still on. There was probably only 1/2 hour left by that point, but every minute was like a paper cut.
I saw that film on discount day at the dollar show, and felt ripped off. I wanted the people who made it to pay me damages for my pain and suffering. I injured myself on their movie, I swear.

I don't know if TV movies count, but if they do...
there is a movie that deals with such difficult subjects such as surviving rape, pacifism in the face of evil, and the loss of religious faith, with all the finesse and subtlety one would expect of a movie entitled: Kenny Rogers' Coward of the County.
I felt so angry after watching that film. Appalling.
