I might've agreed with you a few years ago, but lately I prefer TPM over ESB or ROTJ.
My most hated movies would be anything by Di$ney or Pixar. They are to filmaking what McDonald's is to food; mass-produced tripe marketed to children who don't know any better and adults with no taste.
Whooooooooa horsey. Even if you ignore the past 7-10 years of Disney, they've still made quality films such as Aladdin, The Lion King, Snow White, Mary Poppins etc. Also, Enchanted was great fun and that's in the cinema now! As for Pixar, all I can say is Toy Story. Superb film.

Pixar is far from the McDonalds of film making for a very specific reason: They do it for the passion. Thats a company full of people who love making movies and telling stories, and its not about mass producing the biggest hits of the year...its about making the best possible product. Hence why they come out with one film a year, where as other studios and production companies can have 5-10 films a year or more...
More than that they have heart, something most films have turned their back on seemingly.

lol
Pixar movies are written at Di$ney board meetings by a bunch of marketing execs who debate on how each character will look on the side of a happy meal. If sitcom quality dialogue and lame physical gags are what passes for great writing, then anything by Pixar or Di$ney is friggin' Shakespeare. And yes, Pixar makes product not art.

But what do you REALLY think, Diz...?
I just can't stand middlebrow-at-best movies (or any other kind of art work) with delusions of grandeur. I like really good movies, and those are found both at the arthouse theaters and in the mainstream. I like bad movies that are unapologetically fun. I LOATHE movies that think they're a lot smarter than they are.
Like, seriously, Crash? How dumb was that movie? How cheap was the emotional button-pushing? I can't think of a single thing in that movie that was not a cliche, not a single idea or observation that shouldn't have already occurred to anyone with two brain cells and a pulse by the time they are in puberty.
It was all so obvious, and so trite, and so shallow, that it blows my mind that people say that movie made them think about things they had never thought about before. People must be dumber than I thought.
It's deeply amusing to me that most people who think garbage like Crash or Requiem for a Dream are profound and important movies routinely crap on far superior films like Mean Girls or Bring it On because they're mainstream movies in genres they totally discount. It's like people who idolize Coldplay and sneer at Justin Timberlake.
I think I love you.

PPOR. Prior to the merger, Disney had little input into the creative process of the Pixar films. They were distributors not the production team. A typical Pixar film can take anywhere from 2-5 years of writing and rewriting as well as research before they even start animating.

Exactly. Pixar has put out pretty consistently high-quality films, and has historically had little to do with Disney on the creative side. OK, I haven't seen Cars, so I don't know if that's any good, but prior movies from Pixar have all been solid to exceptional. The Incredibles, in particular, is a personal favorite of mine.
