I love both Signs AND Crash.
They sit proudly in my DVD collection.
Both films speak to the human spirit; to the potential for good in all of us.
And I love 'em for that.
....
Can't think of a film that I truly hate, but 'action' movies of the Michael Bay kind, pretty much suck as far as I'm concerned.
-JR
Crash doesn't speak to the human spirit, it tries to clumsily force a message down your throat which is highly pretentious, overbearingly presumptuous, and a load of complete twaddle at the same time.
If Crash did speak for the human spirit, I'd reinvent myself as a misanthropic genocidal maniac because frankly, we'd deserve it.

Hostel - Torture Pron (Note, Saw is not torture porn, it doesn't have nudity and it has a great story)
Speaking of Saw, I'll add that to my list:
1) Napoleon Dynamite
2) Saw

The scene in Saw II with the needles is the worst scene in the history of film.

WTH!
It seems the majority of films listed in here are excellent if not simply above average. This says a lot about how much the people here know about film--not to sound arrogant (I apologize). But, take a film like Moulin Rouge for example. EVEN IF YOU DON'T PERSONALLY LIKE THE ACTORS or Quirkiness...etc. If you know anything about film you can't deny what it does well.
It's like...someone claiming to hate Shakespeare's work. You can't deny his work if you actually understand it. It just doesn't make sense.
I just... GRRRR!
I'm not a master of film or anything and I can't really claim that anyone here is completely lacking in film knowledge, but come on! Saying that you hate a film like Citizen Kane is all fine and well I suppose...except it's been consistently listed as the number one movie of all time by folks from organizations...like...AFI for YEARS (that may have changed actually-might be Casablanca now). There's a BIG reason for that---and judging by the relatively huge amount of crap that does exist out there-it seems hardly logical to list a movie like that as one's "most hated film."
By saying you hate Moulin Rouge, Citizen Kane, etc. more than anything...geez that includes an awful lot. You're implying you would prefer Scary Movie or perhaps Wedding Crashers over one of those?
Are you guys serious? (Maybe I should have asked that before ranting)...
Now that I'm calm...
My most hated film-at least that comes to mind initially would probably have to be Alexander with Colin Farrell

Wedding Crashers ain't that bad, don't compare it to Scary Movie of all things.
Also I've met the writers of Wedding Crashers, so ha.
Speaking of Scary Movie, I HATE Scary Movie 3. I don't know if it's my most hated movie though. It's possible my most hated movie is my sophmore year short film. Ugh. My worst mistake.

I'm not sure if Moulin Rouge and Citizen Kane are in exactly the same category, but I do love me some Moulin Rouge.

Jango10 posted: The Wizard of Oz - It was all a dream, are you kidding me? The "it was all a dream" is the single biggest cop-out in film and literary history.
The use of the dreamlike ending in the Wizard of Oz may not be to your liking but in that instance I would hardly call it a cop-out. Where as elsewhere its generally an overused plot device to get writers out of a jam that they are otherwise incapable of dealing with, the idea of dreams and dreaming is woven throughout the fabric of the central plot and even part of Dorothy's character and character arc (her growth from day-dreaming child into a responsible adult through the adventures her mind fabricates based on the elements of her life and fears). Within Oz I would daresay its use is appropriate.
Again perhaps the story isn't to your liking so I won't try to convince you otherwise, but I would hardly call it a cop-out in this instance.
Commenting on a few other choices here:
Saw - Really enjoyed the first one for the methods used to make this movie. I hate horror, gore and torture porn but found this one to be incredibly intriguing. The series quickly declined.
Superman Returns - I can understand why people didn't like it, but I don't get why people hated it. There are far worse movies out there and far worse Superhero movies.
Napoleon Dynamite - Again I see why this is here and I don't claim it to be anything of a cinematic masterpeice, but I really enjoyed the quirky strange comedy of this one.
28 Days Later - One of my all time personal favorites for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the near perfect execution of the misunderstood Zombie film. I am not claiming it to be a zombie film as its story centers more around viral outbreak, but it clearly utilizes certain aspects of a zombie film.
Children of Men - Never understood what people didn't like about this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.
Requiem - Certainly this was overhyped via word of mouth (much like Donnie Darko) which is part of why I think so many people took issue with it, and though I certainly agree that towards the end the whole thing just really fell apart this is another one that I adore for its filmmaking method.
Waking Life - Perhaps not the most appealing story but another one i loved for its exploration of the craft.
Others on here I am either iffy on or don't really have an opinion. I can't say that there is anything that I truly hate as a film for the simple reason that I get something out of every viewing experience. If nothing else I can take the bad films and learn something from them.

A revised list
Crash: Rewatched this after about a year from first seeing it in high school. The editing was crap, I mean yeah, I guess the story was okay but if you lived that kind of life it really doesn't seem to phase you
Scarface(The Al Pachino version): I originally loved the movie, I mean I would go as far as saying it was a better than Goodfellas, then when I was transfered to an Alternative High School where 95 percent of that population was there for drug abuse, those kids just ruined it for me because all they did was either talk about seeing it, or wanting to do the coke scene or have picture of the poster on their myspaces.
X-Men-The Last Stand: Homophobia, if you take it to the outright extreme.
300: I originally loved the movie, but I mean when I watch it, I think...wow, every last emo D&D kid saying "THAT WAS ****** BRUTAL MAN!"
Serenity: Don't get me wrong, I like it but due to the fact that every couple days when I come home, my mom is either watching it on HBO or on DVD and then she soon puts in Firefly
Planet of the Apes(The marky mark one): Need I say more?

Good Luck Chuck: an inane borderline porno that made me feel miserable and empty. Dan Fogler's character was loathsome and devoid of humor. Lonny Ross' character was the only good thing. Why this movie is not on the imdb bottom 100 is beyond me.
