I'll call the fall election now... President McCain. Get used to saying it, folks.
I never really got behind either of these guys, because I could never really get through the back and forth with each other to understand what they really stood for. And I was ready to put just about any Democrat in the office if they kept to the issues.

The news is alive today with McCain commenting that Rev Wright is not off the table when it comes to debating Obama but then there are clips of McCain's own favorite pastor telling a crowd that Islam is an Anti-Christ religion and that the U.S. was founded in part to destroy said evil religion.
But shall McCain be condemned? Obama was not for his lifetime connection to Wright.

He's proposing cutting NASA's budget in order to fund early-education programs for kids under 5.
Uh yeah, if you're gonna cut the NASA Moon/Mars program you replace it with something else or revamp the current designs or better yet use removed money and place it in other areas of NASA research. The NASA budget makes up less than one percent of the U.S. budget. Cutting it and taking the money out of NASA is really dumb.

Bah! Space travel will be improved by private companies, not some government agency.

I know we're on a Star Wars forum so space exploration and colonization seems really cool and all, but I think we need to get some things fixed here on Earth before that happens.

Like VLM said, though, NASA's budget is really small. No sense in cutting that. But it's not the end of the world if that happens.

When you're talking about a $3,000,000,000,0000+ budget, you can make any budget cut seem small and insignificant.

Well, I'm 50% black and 91% of blacks vote for Obama, therefore there's a 45.5% chance that I'll vote for Obama. This is my official response when asked how I can be black and not vote for Obama. I love the variety of responses I get when I do that.

"OMG!!! Obama's black!!1!one"
Le sigh.
What a terribly written article. Didn't it bother you that they kept saying "Mr Obama" without the period?
That's the Economist's style, and so it's normal for them. They never include a period after "Mr" or "Ms/Mrs".

I always struggle with this line of thinking. It's kind of like saying "you should stop eating out, and instead donate the money you would have saved to the hungry."
NASA is more than simply sending rockets up - the space program has moved science forward overall, beyond just the ability to stick a flag on the moon. If we focus on any just one thing we stifle ourselves overall because we're not being as well-rounded.

He was McCain's spiritual advisor, Rod Parsley.

Parsley is McCain's spiritual advisor, and has expressed numerous anti-Islam sentiments.
Hagee is a pastor who McCain actively sought the endorsement of and who McCain has said that he's glad to have his endorsement. He's the one that said the stuff about Katrina and Catholics.
So which is the "just some guy who endorsed McCain"?
