In political campaigns, these labels have everything to do with artificial and contrived perceptions. The fact of the matter is that Senator John Kerry has spent decades of his public life crusading for working Americans, for lower-income citizens, and for those who don't have a voice in the government.
The decorated war hero and crusader for the middle class became identified as the weak on defense elitist from Massachusetts. Tragic.

FOX News doesn't deserve to be on the air. Especially that idiot Bill O'Reilly.

O'Reilly tends to come down on the wrong side of things in my view, but I think he's genuinely objective, and I'd watch him any day of the week over Hannity or Olbermann.

Yeah, some real objective reporting on that Obama passport breach about a month ago, where he spent about two hours insinuating the Bush Administration was behind the dastardly "New Watergate".

The Bush Administration was not off the culprit list for a lot of reporters and anchors. Your attempt to create a trend out of one data point is futile and amusing at best.

Really? I seem to recall Olbermann spinning it out of orbit, FOXNews not covering it at all, and Anderson Cooper covering it responsibly. And anyway, there's a difference between speculating and insinuating, especially when there were pretty much no hard facts at the time.

I still don't see how this makes Olbermann less objective than Papa Bear.

Because I think O'Reilly tends to be genuinely disturbed by the stories he reports on, and his takes are honest, misguided as they often are. I get the same sense with Bill Maher. He doesn't criticize Bush on his program because he's on an anti-GOP crusade, he criticizes him because he's genuinely outraged at his incompetence. With Olbermann and Hannity, I get the sense that their takes are dictated by how they conform to their partisan or ideological agendas. If you like Olbermann's takes, fine, but don't sit here and call him objective. He's the most partisan man on television.
But that's just my opinion.

I don't think he's fully objective. No one is, in my opinion. But I do feel that he's more objective than O'Reilly.

Olbermann's a tool, as is almost every other news anchor for the three major infofakenews stations.

I like MSNBC. They are in all fairness the Obama News Network, but outside of that I generally feel as though I get a Liberal AND Conservative view on nearly everything.
That, and lumping MSNBC or CNN in with Fox News just shows that you are trying WAYYYY too hard to play the Cynic.

The Liberals are Matthews and Olbermann. The Conservatives are Buchanan and Scarborough. Overall, you get all sides of the issues. Maddow, Wolffe, Crawford, and Milbank are good analysts. And of course, there is the numbers' god, Chuck Todd.
