dont't forget that exit polls showed 8 out of 10 said race was a factor in the way they voted, but they're not racist.

Who? The 91% black people in Indiana or the 93% black people in North Carolina who voted for Obama.

both. If you're voting based on race, that's racism. If you're voting based on sex, that's sexism. End of story.

8 out of 10? I thought it was 1 out of 6. And voting "based on race" doesn't necessarily mean racism. There are pragmatic reasons to vote for a black man.

A few of my friends who are "guilty white, limousine liberals" can't wait for a black man to be elected President. I think they believe that electing Obama would be reparations for slavery. As if saying "All is forgiving now." Electing a black man as President should not and will not erase the terrible history of slavery in this country.

Yeah, there's actually quite a good case to make that blacks who vote for Obama aren't racist, since you brought it up. Namely, that Hillary Clinton led among African-Americans for the majority of the race, and Obama only gained overwhelming support after Bill Clinton's race-baiting in South Carolina. On the other hand, when you consider that in places like Pennsylvania, Obama's campaign posters were burned while citizens shouted the n-word at his campaign volunteers (Source) and I think you have a bit more cause for concern. That, on top of the historic reality that blacks have repeatedly shown themselves willing to vote for candidates of a different race, whereas whites have repeatedly shown themselves unwilling to do the same, and I think I can see why this dynamic is talked about the way that it is.
Wouldn't you agree?
EDIT: I'm not by any means implying that people who refuse to vote for Obama are racist. That would be an irresponsible and frankly reprehensible charge. What I am saying is that the "OMG double standard" talk is silly, because there are hard realities that inform why race dynamics are being discussed the way that they are.
