Ideally Obama could pick somebody else as a VP and still win, but as personally distasteful as it is to me, I still really believe that accepting Clinton as VP is the smart political move.
What of the actual presidency? The Clintons are sure to either intentionally or unintentionally sabotage Obama in some way during an Obama administration.

Well, why would you worry about how they'll actually govern? Come on, Josh! Win at all costs!

To me, an administration with Clinton as either president or VP, or maybe in it at all, is not worth having. My only reason for wanting one over a McCain administration would be the Supreme Court. That's basically all.

This is so awesome. I'm so glad this is over. In fact, I've been waiting for it to be over a for a while now so I can hit the town and start registering young voters to vote for Obama in the fall.

Well, I seriously doubt that Roe v Wade is ever going to go anywhere. Beyond that, I'm not particularly convinced there'll be any changes to the Supreme Court during the next President's term. Plus, I think McCain may surprise people with the kinds of people he'd put on the Court when push comes to shove.
But yeah. I was kinda being tongue-in-cheek.

I'm not sure why everyone is dismissing Hillary and automatically wanting Obama as the nominee. She probably will win the popular vote and did come close to the delegate count as well. Remember when everyone was saying that McCain must win most of the remaining primaries against Huckabee before Huckabee dropped out? Well, Hillary has won a lot of the final primaries.
Also, Hillary did do much better than Obama with elderly voters, white women, rural white men, and hispanics. The black vote won't help Obama alone. Kerry won around 91% of the black vote against Bush in 2004 and still lost. The superdelegates should hear both sides before making a rash final decision.

Lassic, Clinton is not going to be the nominee. She should not be the nominee. In my view, she is not fit for any executive position, and certainly not the presidency. She's the Democratic version of W, and I'm tired of her ways (which really are Karl Rove's ways under a different brand name), and her husband's for that matter.
I think many superdelegates either already have or are rapidly reaching a similar conclusion.

He is 11 delegates away from being the nominee, which he will get from the primaries in South Dakota and Montana tonight, plus all the superdelegates coming in. Hillary is some 200 delgates away. Now she is just "open" to the possibility of Vice President. Whether she concedes or not tonight, it... is... over....

Yeah . . . but we might squeeze another day or two of Hillary/Obama catfight gossip out of the scenario, and we all know that's why people really come to this thread.
I'm leaving it open until Hillary actually concedes.
Or until there are no more lols left in the headlines. Whichever.

And some parrots can sing the alphabet, but it doesn't happen very often. Clinton is done as far as the presidency is concerned. This is just about universally realized at this point.

Not completely done. She can use her dropping out as leverage to secure the VP position. Which would hurt Obama if Hillary is on the ticket.
