If Floyd can pitch a good game, and Konerko and Thome can actually get hits, we'll have this series easily.

I hope they don't. It isn't necessary.
i really think they should. i know it's not a huge difference, but after 162 games to have your season decided in a best of five just seems a bit silly.

the angels had their chance with 1 out in 9th and a runner on third and blew it. After they blew it, I just knew Boston would win it.
Here's hoping for a Dodgers/RedSox world series, now that would be great.
actually, I wouldn't mind any of the remaining teams in the worlds series, just glad the Yankees aren't in it.

Well, I was 2-2 in the first round. Picked Philly and Boston right, and did not get the Tampa and LA picks right. Ah well. In the championship rounds I have:
Philly over LA in six games
Boston over Tampa in seven games

Things are so very different in Boston now. Every hint of a collapse or blown lead doesn't bring forth mentions of "curses" or anything like that.
And Fenway is still a magnificent place to see baseball played.

I was thinking about that while watching Game 3. It almost seemed like the fans knew they would win.
They didn't, of course. But that's besides the point.
Amazing.
