I have DVR, but I can't watch games on recording. I don't have the mental discipline not to check the score.

It should be interesting on how Beckett pitches. Long rest comming of injury. He has been a pretty big game pitcher in the playoffs so he will be comming out gunning.

The Good: The 5-run 1st inning for the Dodgers (the highlight: DeWitt's bases clearing triple with 2 outs), Furcal leading off the 2nd inning with a solo home run, Nomarrrrrrrrrrr going 2-3 with an RBI, Kuroda's excellent start (6 innings, 5 hits, 2 ER, 3 K's-and getting retaliation in the 3rd inning (for Martin getting hit in the first inning, and thrown at close in the 2nd-and for the Brett Myers pitch that went over Manny in game 2) by throwing at Victorino (although he probably shouldn't anywhere near the head), the pen (Wade & Broxton) holding the fort down (2 innings, 2 hits, 0 ER), the Dodgers getting their first win of this NLCS.
The Bad: 7 men left on base.
The Uggla: Hearing on the podcast of Friday's PTI this morning that Andruw Jones says he wants to be the everyday center fielder next season (  ).

Oh my God, this game just about gave me a heart attack. I even had to shut the game off in the bottom of the 6th inning to calm myself down. I was able to turn the TV back on in time to watch the resilient Phils explode in the 8th inning. What a win, as the Phils take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. I am really liking their chances with Hamels pitching game 5 and, if needed (and hopefully it won't), Myers in game 6. Go Fightin' Phils!!!

Why Kuo wasn't left in the 8th, or Broxton (or Maddux) being brought in instead of Wade I don't understand. I wasn't suprised when Victorino hit his 2-run homer (he's been a hot hitter this whole postseason), but Matt Stairs?! MATT STAIRS??!!  Needless to say, I don't feel so great about the rest of this series, and I hope the Dodgers can at least win on Wednesday to avoid having the Phillies win the pennant here in La La Land.
