The Good: The 4 run 1st inning (Loney had a 2-RBI double, which was followed by a 2-run Martin home run), Billingsley's decent start (5 innings, 8 hits, 3 ER, 4 K's), the relief pitching (Kuo, Beimel, Broxton, Saito) allowing only 1 hit in the last 4 innings/Saito notching his 11th save of the season, avoiding getting swept by the Indians, FINALLY gaining some ground on Arizona (they lose, Dodgers 3.5 games back of first).
The Bad: Leaving 4 men on base.
The Ugly: Ethier going 0-3, DeWitt going 0-4.

I know the story of the "curse", but I have to ask why anyone would even want to take a goat into a stadium? Were they married or something?

Well, he was a Cubs fan. I think the story goes is that he had a sign on it about getting Detroits goat or something.

I think the Cardinals smoke and mirrors operation has to fade soon, unless Pujols is on his way back already. What's his status?
