George Lucas with his silly rhyming patterns.
I should have realized this before going in.
1. Religous Artifact
2. Goofy story with glowing rocks
3. Religous Artifact
4. Goofy story with crystal skull

Fun movie. I liked it and never felt like my childhood was being fully raped. Sure there were a bunch of scenes that made me cringe they were so bad, but not enough to ruin it for me. The movie definetly had more of a Temple of Doom feel than a Raiders or Crusade. I thought Mutt was a great addition and the chemistry with Indy was great. Cate Blanchett's villain was a little weak IMO. Karen Allen's acting was a bit over the top. I'll need to rewatch this again in a few weeks to get a real sense of how much I like it.

Weren't they all religious artifacts?? I think the better term for the Ark would be Judea/Christian and purely Christian for the Holy Grail. But each of them had some kind of religious significance IIRC.

BTW, are we still doing the black-out spoiler thing for Indy?

Excellent question at a perfect time, because we decided to go the RotS route and allow spoilers after the Monday of its release... which, I think, was yesterday wink

However, as with all recent material, it'd be nice if you continued HTRing outside and labelling new threads as spoilerific (though you can't have a whole lot of new Indy threads at the moment anyway, we're JCC, not the Indy Forum wink ) ("err on the side of curtesy" is in the JC (not JCC) rules, even happy )

This one was always treated as a "duh" thread in regards to spoilers, being our main Indy thread.

$300,000,000 world wide so far. That's about twelve euros, not too bad.

Finally saw it today. Enjoyable movie, took me quite a while to get into it, but once I did it was fun. A little good dialogue and some nice action scenes are what I look for in an action/adventure movie, so KotCS did okay with me.

Shia LeBeouf was better than expected as Mutt; Ray Winstone, an actor I have always really liked, added very little to this movie as Mac. Swings and round-abouts, I guess.

No, it is finger. That's a little different to pulling one's legs.

Also, speaking of weasling, way to ignore my post addressing your comments on Willie & Short Round right after yelling at me to "read the post".

Did anybody else get confused and think they were at a showing of Caddyshack 3?

Also, kudos once again for Paramount allowing them to use the class Paramount opening.
