The thing is, both the Chiefs and Bears actually wanted to win this game and had some things to prove. Of course it's preseason and it doesn't count, but you have to realize the Chiefs team is over 50% new, and we have a completely new offensive scheme. It's a big thing this season to see if this works with our new talent. It's just preseason, but for morale it's good. And it looks like Croyle fits in this scheme better so far, which confirms reports from training camp.

The Saints looked pretty good tonight too. Why wasn't Colston playing, though?

So don't fear, if you hear, A foreign sound, to your ear. It's alright, ma. I'm only sighing.

In the about freaking time move of the week, Saints CB Jason David has been demoted to second team. This guy was awful last year and awful in last Saturday's preseason game against Houston. The SuperDome fans booed him from the first 3rd down conversion he gave up to the last TD pass he was burnt on.
Jason David posted: "Looking at it from a fans point of view, I'd probably boo myself, too," David said while sitting in front of his locker during the lunch hour. "The fans have a high expectation, and so do I and the coaching staff.
"This is the NFL. It's part of the game. There's no one to blame but myself. I'm the only who can really stop the boos. It has nothing to do with the coaches. It has nothing to do with the players. It's pretty much just me."

That was a good laugh. The Raiders secondary might be the strength of the team.

I think the Broncos are good for an 8-8 run this season.

With Curtis down, I'm praying the Eagles try to get Boldin.
Not that I'm expecting much but it would be nice.

So, it would appear that J.T. O'Sullivan has won the starting QB spot for the 49ers, and Alex Smith has become that much closer to being a bust.

I remember laughing at the 49ers on draft day for taking Smith overall. I don't know why, but teams fall in love with taking a QB most of the time with that pick. Sometimes, the talent fits the pick, and sometimes, like with San Fran, they absolutely reach. It could be worse though.
They could have Wade Phillips as a coach.

Confidence straight up
You pick head to head(no spread) games for each week on who you think is going to win.
And assign each game a point value based on how confident you are that you're right.
15 most confident, 1 least confident. Every game gets it's own value. So you can't put 15 across the board. You can only use each value once.
Tiebreakers will be used to determine each week's winner if it ends in a tie.
Your lowest week of the season will be dropped.
So if you miss a week or do horrible it will not count against your score.
Official scoring begins in Week 1.
You have up until 5 minutes prior to every game to make your picks. Which basically means on weeks when there is a Thursday game you don't have to pick all games. You can do that one and save the others until closer to game time.
So sign up now and invite others.
