Yeah, I actually think it took quite a bit of engineuity to do that. I really don't see how he can be punished by the league, and if the team has punished him yet for the events of the summer, I don't see them being able to do anything about having his now 100% legal surname on the back of his uniform.

I think it's pretty funny how he got one over on both the NFL, and the Bengals. It'll probably fatten his pockets a little bit more with jersey sales as well. grin

As a Bengal fan and lifelong Cincinnati resident, it doesn't bother me at all if he wants to put Ocho Cinco on the back of his jersey. And since it's his legal name now, I doubt the NFL or Bengals can do anything to stop him.

He can put any old thing he want's on his jersey as long as he shuts up, and stops dropping 3rd and 4th down catches.

I just read that the Bengals cut Rudi Johnson, also. That's good. I've never been a big fan of his. He never makes cuts, breaks tackles, or otherwise makes defenders miss him; he's always just ran in a straight line until a defender touched him, then he fell down. The O-line has been responsible for his modest success before last season.

Can someone explain the term 'alligator arms'?

I'm watching an NFL game from earlier this week and in reference to a receiver the announcers are using the term alligator arms and not really explaining what it means. (The guy didn't catch the ball, if that helps)

Thanks!

It's when a receiver hears footsteps so doesn't make much an effort to make the catch because he doesn't want to get hammered.

See: Pinkston, Todd.

I posted this in the Arena, but I'll post it here too since some people don't go there.

Richard Collier Shot

Collier is the third NFL player to be shot in the past 18 months.

What is going on?

So don't fear, if you hear,
A foreign sound, to your ear.
It's alright, ma. I'm only sighing.
