Cincy should take that deal from Wash, they are offer like two picks, one #1 and a conditional #3 which could turn into a one.

Consider Moss was traded for 4th rounder, if I were Cincy I'd take the picks.

Except then Cincy wouldn't be able to sign any draft picks because they'd be over the salary cap. I guess they could cut and/or restructure the contracts of many starters, but that really just shifts the problem to some later time.

It's Chad's own fault the Bengals find themselves in a situation when they cannot afford to trade him, anyway. He's had his contract redone twice in the last 4 years; that is partly to blame for the 8 million dollar cap hit Chad Johnson represents.

As a Bengals fan, Chad can just go **** off and pout. I don't care if he holds out the whole season or retires. It became apparent last season that he is overrated and not worth the money he's already being paid, yet he thinks he deserves more.

I'm not sure he'll even stick to his guns and actually sit out the whole season. He cares too much about his own numbers and the perception among fans and players that he is an elite receiver. Holding out for a year only hurts the things that matter to Chad most.

Ever other team in the league is going to view him as a prima-donna who is always going to expect ever-more money no matter how much he already makes and is not above sitting out for a season if he doesn't get his way. That will limit his opportunities when he decides to play again.

I believe the Commish won't make a decision on Q-bert Jones until the beginning of trading camp.

I hope this blows up in Jerry Jones' face, said the Niner fan. tongue

I thought Dallas drafted good. 1st 3 picks filled holes. Looks like were on our way to the SuperBowl.

The Niners draft was to addressed the aging lines with Larry Allen and Bryant Young not back for the 2008 season by drafting a DT and OG. It was just sad the Niners gave their 7th overall pick to the Patriots and the Bears ratting on them making lose their 5th Rd pick.

I find the draft extremely boring. Mostly because you can't figure out what good picks were made until they play a year or two.

True, but it gives us something to speculate on.
On paper such and such should be a Pro-Bowler, 2 years later, HAHA that guy totally sucks.

I'm a bigger fan of Tom Brady stories than, say, Ryan Leaf stories.

That's pretty much how every Lions draft goes, except that Ernie Sims doesn't suck...yet. Something's bound to happen to change that. tongue

Did anyone see ESPN's feature on Ryan Leaf after the NFL? Dude lives in a one bedroom apartment in a small town coaching (I think) High School or Jr. College. I don't think he's married to the San Diego Charger cheerleader anymore. It was interesting to note that he keeps in touch with Peyton Manning and cheered for him in the Superbowl.

The guy has been humbled.

That being said, I can't forget what a fan yelled at him, "You make Heath Shuler look like an All Star," during a training camp.
