Maybe they found a black hole just outside our solar system.

A nearby black hole would be both scary and cool at the same time. Such a thing would be further out that the Oort Cloud or else we would already know it was there. It might make for a nice gravity assist if we wanted to send probes out of the solar system.

If there was a black hole just outside the Oort cloud, would we have been sucked in by now?
The cloud is only half a light year away.

The Oort cloud extends out to 2 light years away. A black hole does nto really "suck" anything. it is simply a miniaturized object with gravity like anything else. The Sun is too small to become a black hole but if it were instantly turned into one without changing the mass the Earth would move along its orbit as normal.
My concern of a black hole being nearby is one of its direction or orbit or whatever its movement is. After all this time of we had such a companion of minimal mass for a black hole then it would be safe to say its orbit is a stable and safe one for our existance.

I'd rather worry about terrestrial threats to the existence of life rather than something that has almost no chance of happening throughout Earth's entire lifetime.

It cant be a black hole. They found a black hole like 5 years ago.
Maybe its a wormhole, or dark matter.

Well that's just it though. Like most NASA announcements it will most likely be underwhelming. But as I said a naked black hole(not naked singularity) has not been observed to my knowledge.
*Sits back and waits for coming 'naked black hole' jokes.*

That would have been a naked pink hole.

This is the only logical explanation, Jay-Jay.
But sometimes, love hurts.
