What is your least favorite religious story?
|
For me it has to be the story of Lot. Since Lot refuses to give up his angels to the perverted mob, offering his two "virgin daughters" instead. He tells the bunch of angel rapers to "do unto them [his daughters] as is good in your eyes."
Also Lot and his daughters camp out in a cave for a while. The daughters get their "just and righteous" father drunk, and have sexual intercourse with him, and each conceives and bears a son.

Well, in defense of the story, they were homosexual rapists, so they weren't really that interested in his daughters, and presumably (hopefully?) he knew that before hand. Also, it was sort of brave for him to go outside to face the mob alone, though that was mostly just stupid. Regardless, though, the angels intervened to stop it from happening. But, yeah, Lot wasn't the best of guys. There's worse stuff, though.
