dp4m: As a resurrection story, it's not really that bad, I thought. No worse than, say, the Crucifixion.
OZK: I'd disagree slightly. While I would agree with your general point (inclusion=/=approval) I would say that all things included are divinely inspired, but that some of it is "background/historical material" that helps inform the reader's understanding of other stuff, but doesn't necessarily have a lot of value on it's own. The genealogies, for instance, can be useful in tracing details of some prophecies and things.
