The man in the painting of Indiana Jones above, between the girl and the alien blimp, looks like John Goodman. This made me wonder what it would be like if John Goodman was a murderer.
I do not watch Roseanne very often but sometimes I do, and if John Goodman was revealed as a murderer I would still watch Roseanne and I would still watch Big Lebowski too.

I never watch Roseanne on principle, because it is awful and stupid. Also, it is against Neo-Pilgrimism.
But, to the question at hand, we should consider mitigating factors? For instance, did John Goodman commit murder while possessed by a demon that was trying to destroy Denzel Washington? If do, I would still support this actor.

I don't watch Roseanne, and I avoid John Goodman because Roseanne touched him.
Which also means that I avoid Roseanne's crotch.

I never watched Roseanne.
Married With Children > Roseanne.
But I still watch The Naked Gun when it's on even though O.J. is in it.

I would still watch Roseanne because it is funny. Except the last season. Which barely has John Goodman at all... Coincidence?

you have to admit though that watching roseanne would be a bit of a different experience if you knew that john goodman was a murderer. i think i might find myself watching it more just for that creepiness factor.

From the 90's, anyway. It doesn't approach Seinfeld but it was still one of the better sitcoms from that era. I didn't really watch it when I was a kid but I've watched it on Nick at Nite in recent years and it's pretty good. Except for the ridiculous final season of course, and the most bizarre series finale of all time.

It turned out the entire series was false, that Roseanne was a writer, and the entire series had been a novel she was writing based on her family, and in the last scene they showed the characters being different but played by the same actors, and the relationships were altered, and also Dan had died in his heart attack.

The show we had been watching all along turned out to be bizarro world! The last "real" show was where Dan made Roseanne the writing room. Then everything else was Roseanne writing and making **** up. In "reality" Jackie was gay, Dan was dead and Mark was with Darlene and Becky was with David! WHAT? Lame.
Edit: My synopsis was better than yours, so I'm leaving it.

that's pretty lame. i hate that kind of "twist" ending. it can be cool in a movie, but if you were a fan of a show for like years and years i can see getting pretty pissed that they would do that to you right at the end. it's pretty much exactly what they did with the 80s newhart. the one time i thought the twist ending was cool was in twin peaks, but that series was so weird anyway and relatively short-lived.
