No, the entire series wasn't false. There was an early episode that the finale references where Roseanne gets writing materials from her family and Dan builds her a writing room in the basement. I think that's when it's supposed to depart from "real life" and it just gets further away as she makes her life the way she wants it to be.

Have I watched the finale too many times? Yes.

EDIT: Damn you lexu! I was distracted when I was writing my post. sad

If he murdered Roseanne, I'd tune in immediately.

I think I would not stop watching Roseanne if John Goodman is a murderer, because I just remembered that Kramer is a huge racist, but I still love Seinfeld.

When I found out drummer Jim Gordon murdered his mother, I didn't stop listening to Derek and the Dominos.

In fact, I think I'll watch a live performance with Jim, Eric, Delaney & Bonnie and George Harrison on YouTube right now.

I still watch the Naked Gun movies even though Leslie Nielsen murdered his ex-wife and some dude.

Well, I don't really watch 33 1/3 because that one was dumb. The Final Insult, indeed.

Also, Leslie Nielsen might not have been the killer.

John Goodman is a memeber of my fraternity (not my school however)...It's clearly stated in our Rituals that I would be obligated to bust him out of prison, and clear his name by framing someone else. Once the smoke clears from that person's electrocution, I'll allow myself to watch Roseanne again.

Never watched an episode of Roseanne, but if tomorrow I found out Ed O'neill had been keeping his daughter and three of their kids in his basement á la Josef Fritzl I'd still think Al Bundy was the man and enjoy Married with children.

I love Rosanne. I know, I'm the last person you'd expect to say that. But the show was great before the big left turn on the last couple of seasons. But even those had some good episodes.

The best season was the one when Dan owned the bike shop.

I did give the show a try, but it didn't connect with me.

That said, if John Goodman was a murderer, I'd use that as an excuse not to ever watch The Flintstones movies (movies!! can you believe it??) again.

Does this scenario include John Goodman murdering Roseanne?

The glowing eyes of the Crystal Skull have been mistaken for an Alien blimp. nerd
Plus John Goodman did an excellent job as Sully in Monsters Inc.
That alone solidifies his impeccability as an actor, even if he does stuff like soap commercials or ***** Racer.

I never liked Roseanne in the first place, so any excuse not to watch it would be a good one.
