Why, I mean seriously why? According to Variety, Eddie Murphy is set to reprise the role of Axel Foley. That's all and good, but then it says Brett Ratner is directing it, which pretty much kills this for me.
Don't get me wrong, I hope they make a great Beverly Hills cop film, to erase the memory of part 3, but since Ratner's on board I'm not sure about this.
One thing though, they better make this an R-rated movie and not tone it down for the pg-13 kiddies, like the last Die hard film and they gotta have the foley theme.

If it is as awesome and gritty as the first two films, then it'll be cool. I hope for the best, but I won't hold my breath.
