Today is Indiana The Hedgehog's birthday. He is 4.
The more serious Indiana news is that he had 2 large tumors removed from his belly this week, and I don't yet know if they were benign or malignant. I expect to find out early next week. At the moment, I'd put his condition at "kinda okay."
I made him an iMix for his birthday, but I don't know if he likes it, since I haven't dragged him out of bed to watch him listen.  I'm just playing it on the computer speakers.
In less-serious Indiana news, these images came from a recent photoshoot. We went with the theme of reenacting scenes from classic movies.

He's hanging in there . . . it's getting complicated, though. The vet got a zoo pathologist involved, and they're now saying that he probably ate some toxic mold--possibly on food pellets he buried and saved "for later."
You wouldn't think that mold toxins would cause crazy growths to start up inside him, but apparently that happens.
Anyway, he seems to be improving, with the help of this:

I'm sorry to have to tell everyone that we lost Indiana today. His health had been shaky for some time, but at least the end came peacefully and quickly.
I'm wretched over losing him, but I'll leave the miseries for the "Cry More" thread. For now, I'll just remember his loltasticness, and how much fun it's been to share him.

Thank you to Andalite for making this thread, which turned out to be so much fun for me and Indy. He had no idea he was performing, but he did seem to enjoy the attention and the opportunity to play during "photoshoots."
