Yeah, I guess that's true. I was just thinking of something positive to say, I guess. If it helps, I do like Children of Bodom and Dimmu Borgir a bit.
Also, you guys are more than welcome to post lyrics to your favorite songs in here, to stir up some discussion. Just make sure that if they contain explicit lyrics, to censor them properly.

I've found that the only Black Metal I tend to like is atmospheric/symphonic (Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth, Chthonic, etc).

Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir is not real black metal. That's gothic rip off crap.
Not that I don't enjoy it, but it just rips off the good music.

I don't really like any heavy metal bands. I got nothing against them but it's just really my style I guess. However, some people apparently consider Led Zeppelin to be within the early form of the genre, and I love love love Led Zeppelin, so if that counts then I say: Led Zeppelin. But I don't really think of them as heavy metal.

Oh great, let the whole "real" black metal debate begin. 
I mean I know it's hard to define Cradle's sound and whatnot. And I wouldn't call Dimmu "gothic". Based on what I've heard at least.
