Pixar has yet to have a dud. A Bug's Life was the closest, and it was still pretty decent.

i am hooked on this movie.

- large focus on pantomime. as andrew stanton put it, it's 'like city lights, only with robots'.

- the supposed integration of live-action with pixar animation. not sure if they still went with it, as i have seen animated humans on the trailers, but the original plan was to have fred willard appear in character and interact with wall-e in at least one scene. which is always fun when disney does it (song of the south, mary poppins, who framed roger rabbit)

- the fact that they used the theme from terry gilliam's brazil in the teasers. i hope the the actual soundtrack goes somewhat along those lines. (currently, ratatouille is my favorite soundtrackwise)

- sigourney weaver as the voice of the ships computer. she's got a great voice.

Can't wait for this movie. It looks like a cute little comedy, and the animation (which is where the bulk of my interest lays with it) looks pretty awesome too. So I'm holding out hope that it's a good script and good animation in one package.

My son (5) is already sick of the character though and doesn't want to see the movie; so it's likely I'll have to catch it on DVD release rather than in the theaters.

A Bug's Life was below Pixar's average, but it was pretty early in their career so I just consider it a learning experience after Toy Story, Cars on the other hand was pretty meh, Ratatouille redeemed them in my eyes though.

Scummy

I'm really excited about this movie. The visuals look amazing (Pixar never lets us down with that) and the storyline seems really good. Just one more week here and I'm trying to be patient. happy

I think I'm going to end up seeing this. Not sure if I want to, but even if it isn't that great, it's still cute which is always a bonus. My mom wants to see it really bad and since I work in a movie theater I'm her "in."

Actually I do believe they are now. tongue Though they hold a higher level of quality than Disney has and they have maintained a continuing standard of excellence, they most definitely are owned now by the Disney corporation (or at least merged with).

You are a sad, strange little man.

Cars was awesome. Ratatouille was just... meh. Almost to the point of boring.
