So I went to a bookshop the other day, and there was this funny guy checking the dictionaries shelf. It was this sort of a typical nerdy type of a guy, with thick glasses, large teeth and oily hair. Rather disgusting, really.

And he kept taking books out of the shelf without putting them back, which really annoyed the shop assistant, and she did tell him that, but he didn't take any notice.

My camera fell out of my pocket, into the lake just off of the dock. I had to use my daughter's goggles to dive underneath the parked boat to get it. Granted, it was a freash water lake, but I had this disturbing worry that a moray eel or killer sting ray was going to jump out after me in the 4 feet deep water. I should have been more concerned about the waves knocking me into the boat lift. Camera appears to be ruined, but luckily the memory card was just fine, sparing my family the photographic loss of an entire weekend of fun.

Well, I think it's rather rude, taking out books from a shelf in a bookstore and not putting them back if you're not actually buying them, don't you think? I mean, the shop assistants are there to help you, but they're not your servants, really.

So anyway, in the end I lost my nerves and said to the geeky idiot, "Oh, why don't you shut up!" and stormed out of the bookshop. The only thing that bothers me is that I had spent there the best part of an hour and didn't even find the book that I was looking for.

But I guess it's really my fault, because whenever I'm in a bookshop I always start reading books and then completely lose the sense of time.
