Andalite, I think I prefer the director's cut. The new visual effects are rather silly and I don't like the whole reading the book thing, but I really like some of the additional scenes, mostly the ones with Drew Barrymore's character.

It's a fine scene, but it doesn't help the movie as a whole. If Richard Kelly wants people to see cool scenes he cut out, the thing to do is make a nice Deleted Scenes menu on the DVD, but don't stick them back into the film itself. The original version worked as it was, it did not require expansion!
