So as of yesterday I have officially graduated from post secondary, and like most people I know...I didn't go. Apparently the majority of my class didn't either and as I ask around I find an alarming number of people who didn't go to their grads as well. But what about the JCC...did you go to your Graduation (be it High School or Post Secondary)? I mean really does the ceremony mean anything to people anymore??

I went to my high school graduation. I was just standing there when some girl comes up to talk to her friend who was next to me.
The new girl was like, "How you doin'?"
The girl next to me said "I'd be a whole lot better IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO STAND NEXT TO THIS IRRITATIN' *********ER!"
I was like Whaaaaa? I hadn't said or done anything...

But I won't go to my college one.

I never heard of the majority of a class not showing up for a graduation. That's pretty unusual.
I went to the highschool one so my parents wouldn't throw a fit. I went to the college one because, although I despise just about all forms of ceremony, I wanted to see everybody. I can't think of anyone who didn't show.
What really, really, and I mean really irritates and also confuses the heck out of me at these things is the stupid costumes. Why do we have to wear that ridiculous robe thing with the outlandish hat? What's wrong with just wearing whatever you normally wear?
