So...Nightwish, what are these guys about?

I have recently discovered the band Nightwish, and am fascinated by them. It's not love at first sight like with Trans Siberian Orchestra, but they have a similiar if much more emo and dark feel to them, and they seem pretty awesome.
I admit I have not watched a lot of their videos all the way through, but I am noticing a lot of christian symbols, but also the videos and people in them have a very pagan/wiccan feel to them, is the band wiccan, or is it just their sort of fantasy edge they are putting on things?
Also, "Over the Hills and Far Away" makes me extremely happy because it's like Irish metal.

They were a bit better with their previous singer, new one hasn't fully grown on me yet.
Names of good songs you should check out, they give a good sample of what they are about:

If you like Nightwish, check out Epica and Kamelot too. They're my main "epic/operatic/whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-it metal" trio that I like to listen to.

I started listening to a few of their songs on youtube. Not my style, at all.
Not saying they're bad, it's just not the kind of music I am into.

Oceanborn is the name of their second album. Even though their new singer has a completely different style, she fits in very well with the band IMO.

I'll also add that I saw Epica play just a few months ago, they're complete garbage as well. Worst live show ever. These pellets of poop need to crawl back into the depths of crap music from whence they came.

Listened to Gethsemane, liked it but the songs of theirs I am really digging are the heavier metal ones. Quite a fan of Ghost Love, Amaranth, End of All Hope, and of course, Over the Hills and Far Away atm.
