lol. that makes me think: the weather in the few weeks before c3 were perfect, in the 70's and sunny. then the day it started the temperature dropped, the second day it was raining and the next day it was snowing.

It's easy to dismiss Comic-Con as Nerdapalooza. It's hard not to, when attendees dress up as Storm Troopers, Spider-Man or Spartans from "300" and geek out over the newest graphic novel, action figure or "Star Trek" poster.
But Hollywood couldn't be taking the event more seriously.
Studios have become such big fans of the fanboys that the annual four-day showcase for all things comicbook and genre-related in San Diego has become arguably as important as ShoWest, Sundance or Cannes as a promotional vehicle of new movies and TV shows.
Nerds have never been more important for Hollywood -- especially this year when "Iron Man" has hauled in more than $300 million in B.O. metal, and the next Batman adventure, "The Dark Knight" is one of the best reviewed films of the year.

I think the event has gone way downhill in the last few years, so I will not be attending. However, I wouldn't be opposed to driving down and going to Whiskey Girl or something.

Looking forward to hearing the big Ghostbusters Announcement. Since the tease at Wondercon we have ticked off just about all of the GB Fanboys' wish list so anticipation is mounting.
Awww, I'm sad I can't meet you I went last year but couldn't go this year. Plan on trying to get back next year, though!
If I were going, no doubt in my mind about what would be my top panel. I would be watching the Watchmen

Actually there is a snowball's chance in hell that I can go this year. Toronto to San Diego is a plane ticket I just can't afford right now. Which is a shame since this is the biggest geekgasm one building can hold in all of NA. But alas there will be other cons and other events. I do plan on someday meeting people from the boards OUTSIDE of Ontario.
