It is located in Green Bank, WV in the "Radio Quiet Zone. I was searching for a new pulsar. I am in the Pulsar Collaboratory. I have a pretty good candidate. Go here for even more information.I will keep you posted on my progress. It was a mind blowing experience! I want to thank Vlad for helping us tonight.

Research Update
Vlad came in and told us the results of Saturday's observing run and there is good news and bad news. Seems like the pulsar we found is an actual one located in the drift scan. The bad news is that we missed it in the scan we did. Two reasons for that could be that it either has something out there blocking the signal, or it may be that we still don't have the correct position locked down yet. Students will try again next week. I have a student coming next week who will be taking my astronomy class next school year. Her name is April and she is the only student in my school who wanted to come. She is only 15 years old. There will be high school students coming next week from Virginia, West Virginia, Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania. You can send good luck wishes for them here and I will post a link to this forum in our collaboratory for them at the end of the week. Thanks for your kind wishes!
