The Guardian of Arlon, highlighted text is used only to signify that the hidden text contains spoilers for an upcoming book, television show, or film. None of the text you highlight is secretive in nature. You are mis-using the function of highlighted text and you do great harm to your reputation.
As for highlighted text of another color, this is purely the realm of charlatans.

Not unless he used a gmail account, all similar emails get grouped as one item and if they all contain large amounts of the same text it gets hidden as 'quoted text'. It's rather useful.
