Everything that makes it past a box office spawns thousands or even millions of net spoofs nowadays. What do you think are the golden distillations of the silver screen?

Meet the Spartans, but that's mostly for the masterful screenplay.

That's the worst thing I've ever seen. Also I guess I misread your post because I thought Bill Murray was actually going to be in that video. He wasn't.

But does Hitch hiker's count? The whole series was making fun so SF wasn't it?

Hitchhiker's is satire, not parody.

Also, Loaded Weapon 1 has to get some consideration. Horribly underrated comedy flick.

Airplane! was good, but Hot Shots! Part Deux is criminally underrated.
Topper Harley: We both know you belong with Dexter. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. I'm no good at being noble, but... do you have any idea what would happen if you stay here with me?
Ramada Rodham Hayman: Of course I do. Sex. Wild, free, passionate, unbridled sex. I would fondle you in ways you can't imagine. I would pleasure you at any time, in any place, in any way, for as long as you could possibly desire.
Oh and if anyone wants to see which film Airplane! is most closely based on, Zero Hour is now on DVD.
