I only learned that LAJFett was female after she was promoted to admin, and someone referred to her as "she."
I only learned that TLJ was a guy after I was promoted, and I was sharing an itty-bitty mod forum with him. (Awkward!!) 
I thought Trimaj was a woman, due to confusing his username with someone whom everyone thought was a guy, but isn't . . . I'm blocking on the other name. It was in all caps, and she used a sword image as an icon, and that threw everyone.
As a n00b, I thought both Chyren and Padme Bra were female.
I generally assume everyone in Fanfic is female, even though 10-15% of them aren't.
Actually, I'm a pretty horrible username/gender guesser.
Of course, there's a reason why some folks (especially fanficcers) might think TBF was a chick. I wonder if he knows he has a name-twin.

I was shocked when I discovered that PulsarSkate was a dude, just shocked! Almost as shocked, in fact, as I was when I discovered the same about Healer Leona.
Seriously, though, there've been a few guys in Fanfic (including at least one mod) whom I mistook for female; less recently, there were a couple women I thought were guys mainly just because of their usernames or icons.
