	So my mom, a nurse, came home from work crying the other day, because one of her patients had had an embolyim after giving birth and was probably going to die. This woman just gave bith to her fourth child, and it seems like she's about to leave them and her husband alone. My mom was very upset because I don't think she's really had something like this happen, or at least, in a very long time. She had to talk to the father himself, and he was just in shock. Apparently these things have about an 80% mortality rate, but this woman's been holding on for a day already. Even those who survive, however, often have brain damage. I just couldn't help but feel for this family. I've been praying for this woman, and I've been thinking. If there's anyone you guys know in need, or any story you've heard, perhaps you can bring it here. They say it truly helps if people pray for others. Perhaps we could start a sort of prayer thread here. This is something that goes beyond individual religion. Anyone who prays is welcome t o enter this. I'd appreciate it if you would pray for this woman and her family, and perhaps we can continue praying for others in this thread, whether Christian, Jew, Muslim, or whatever. 	Well what you could do, besides shoving your religious OCD habits on the public, is maybe try and help her husband and children out somehow. Try some donations, community service, or something. Way to put forth some sensitivity. In terms of the thread, I think it's great that you're keeping them in your thoughts and prayers, slimy. SLG did have a good suggestion in terms of maybe getting some donations and things set up for the family - or finding out if something's being done. But, sometimes all we can do is pray. That first part was a personal snipe and has been removed.
