Just as the name states. Post your thoughts, comments, and what not about this legendary punk rock band.

For starters:

What's everyone's favorite song?

My favorite is Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) and I also like Deadbeat Holiday.

Favourite song is probably Good Riddance as well, just to be original tongue

I also especially like Waiting, Warning, Basket case, etc.

What albums do you have? I have International Superhits, Dookie and 1039 Smoothed out slappy hours happy

I remember this one house party I went to - it was WILD, then al of a sudden someone put Good Riddance on (it was on DVD, so we had the music video too) and everyone (30 or so drunk and, in some cases, partially naked people) just gathered around the TV, singing dreadfully and swaying....very emotional wink

Either Warning or J.A.R.

Rent "Angus": you get a good movie, plus lots of Green Day and other good music.

Believe it or not I don't have any Green Day albums.

DON'T HURT ME!!!!!

I know, it's weird for someone who doesn't have any of their albums to posting stuff about them but, I plan on getting Dookie and Warning sometime in the next couple months. I mainly just download their songs.

Why buy their albums?

Well, considering that just burning a CD gives Green Day no money for their efforts, I think I owe it to them to buy their CDs, instead of burn them.

Although I don't like listening to much music other than John Williams and Classical music, I have to say I heard and Liked the good riddance song.

Has to be Good Riddance, its the only song I can play on the guitar... all the way through anyway. Minority, Church on Sunday and Minority are good as well though.

I think Good Riddance is a good song. I'm going to see them in concert on May 15th. As long as they play some older music, I'll be happy.

I like At the Library, 1000 Hours, Emenius Sleepus, Waiting, and Church on Sunday, among others.

And Green Day covered the Ramones' Blitzkrieg Bop well at the Rock & Roll HoF induction. happy

I love that Blitzkrieg Bop cover!

Finally, a REALLY awesome thread!

Well, I like Coming Clean, Fashion Victim, Waiting, and Emenius Sleepus.

BTW - Is anyone going to see Green Day play with Blink 182 and Saves the Day? I have tickets for the Boston show, can't wait!

I got tickets for the Blink/Green Day tour for here in Sacramento. I can't wait, Jimmy Eat World's gonna be there too. Personally, my favorite GD song has to be "Sassafras Roots" off Dookie.
